Stevie Vallance
Montreal-born, Toronto-raised Stevie Vallance
not only sings, but had a recurring role as recording
artist ‘Sylvie’ in Knots Landing, as well as roles
in such productions as Night Heat, The Ropers,
Three Men & A Baby, Lou Grant, LA Law, Road to
Avonlea and King of Kensington.
This Emmy Award winner just released a new CD
in February called Make My Night. Paul Grant of
CBC Radio says, “Vallance’s voice sounds fabulous
… mature, well recorded, comfortable, sexy …”
Stevie recorded her debut CD in 1995 after moving
to Bowen Island, BC. The release called Practically Naked was reviewed as “an unforgettable
piece of music history, sung with a warmth and grace that sends shivers down the
spine.”
1999 saw a second release of music inspired by the legendary Patsy Cline that led to a
performance at the Calgary Stampede.
Intimate, vulnerable yet full of passion – able to caress a word – shape a phrase so that it
comes alive – this is an evening with the voice of Stevie Vallance.
Joining Stevie will be Corbie Dorner on piano and Tim Herman on guitar.
